ROOTED 2 RISE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
The Reggae Girlz Foundation (RGF) is a nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to inspire, educate, mobilize and support the next generation of young female football players in underserved communities. Through our initiatives, we strive to level the playing field and create more opportunities, access, and visibility for young women in the sport of football.
RGF offers the following scholarships annually to female football student athletes. Applicants must be enrolled at the time of award receipt. Applicants can apply from June 5, 2026 and closes July 5, 2026 by 11:59 EST. Winners will be announced at the end of July 2026.
Program Guidelines: All scholarship applicants must meet all RGF Scholarship eligibility criteria(s):
- Be a current student athlete who demonstrates leadership, dedication, and character with their club, school and community.
- Be of Jamaican descent (birth or naturalization)
- Submit the following to be considered for an award:
- Completed RGF Scholarship Application submitted by midnight on the application deadline (5 June 2026)
- Cover letter that outlines the financial need and how scholarship award will be utilized.
- Minimum 250 word Essay
- Letter of Recommendation from Club / School Coach or Principal in support of financial need
- Current School Transcript
Only completed applications submitted by 11:59 pm (EST) on the application deadline will be considered. Late applications will not be considered. No exceptions. Applicants may apply for all scholarships for which they qualify, but can only be awarded one (1) scholarship each year.
